The Fuji Seal Group switched its business from woodworking to packaging in the 1950s, about half a century after its establishment, and began producing cap seals. This is how became the inventor of shrink labels in the world.
While societal and environmental changes have gained magnitude and speed in recent years, we have maintained our corporate philosophy since our establishment, which mandates us to be always attentive to our customers voice in order to understand "what they need, and what they have trouble with", so that we can "propose and develop solutions jointly."
Pursuant to this idea, we set up our operations close to our customers in Japan, the USA, Europe, and the ASEAN region. This proximity to our customers has enabled us to recognize and understand their packaging needs and cultural values in terms of functionality, practicality, aesthetics, and design, unique to each one of them. These efforts of ours over a quarter century have made our shrink labels recognized widely and adopted by many regions and industries of the world. The current market leader's positions that we enjoy in all the regions are a testimony to our close cooperation with our customers.
While the current market situation is said to be extremely bleak, I would emphasize that Fuji Seal has been continuously growing by being attentive to changes and adapting to them. I will ensure that all of us will face up to any challenges with renewed commitment every day. I promise that our management members will remain close to our operations and customers in Japan, the USA, Europe and the ASEAN region to sense changes more quickly and correctly, that we will make the utmost use of all our experience, developmental capability, and global organizational capacity to make customers' needs and values realized as promptly as possible.
