The Challenge
In addition to being cost-efficient, Packaging should be also environmental-conscious. For regions where refrigerated point-of-sales are a challenge, it is sometimes inevitable that products are sold at room-temperature, causing concern about shelf-life.
A beverage-manufacturer in Mexico, importing and distributing goods from Canada, experienced not only additional production and distribution-costs, but also struggled to maintain the product-quality over time.
Fuji Seal Listens to the Client
Fuji Seal was asked to provide a total packaging solution, ensuring cost-effectiveness, packaging-integrity as well as freshness of the contents, without the need for refrigeration.
So far, the use of a regular shrink label, in combination with a multi-layer bottle (Light-protection) and a special sterile filling-process, has prevented early product deterioration. This has provided a solution that solved the challenges faced, when transporting temperature-sensitive goods in Mexico.
Results and Future Development
By changing from multi-layered containers to standard PET-containers, large cost-savings are possible. Fuji Seal assisted by means of providing a functional shrink-label, combining the light-barrier and protection of the goods in transparent containers, at the same time.
Further cost-savings were made possible, by changing to an on-site special sterile filling-process. Fuji Seal’s unique shrink-label not only enhances the image of the product but also has realized comprehensive cost-savings, by offering additional functions.
