Customers want to minimize environmental impact by using packaging recycling process.
PET bottles could be recycled but labels have to be removed first if possible, utilising cost effective solution.
Fuji "Alpha" proposal
Fuji Seal has developed a shrink film with a density <1 which allow an easy and cost effective way to separate the label from the bottle in a water tank after PET bottles have been crushed.
Thanks to high shrinkage properties and good machinability of Alpha film, it makes it a perfect solution for high speed production lines and a wide range of container shapes.
Results and Future Development
Alpha film has been chosen by several Leading Brands using PET and/or rPET containers with partial or full body sleeves.
Fuji Seal is continuously seeking to improve shrinkage result with thinner gauge film to meet customer's expectations in terms of application result and lower environmental impact through waste reduction.
